Jana's ex got shared custody of their marital garden in the divorce. Yes, you read that right
Live from the holiday pools and spa studios.
SPEAKER_11Presented by Pizza Knight Altoona.
SPEAKER_06And Jojo on the go. Look at us. Another episode. We're givers. We're just givers. All we do is give. That's right. I've been against our will. So sleep paralysis or just lazy ass? I think it yeah. I think it maybe it was just lazy. Sleep paralysis sounds more dramatic.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I think you gotta have like succubuses and things coming at you when you have a sleep paralysis.
SPEAKER_06My kid actually has sleep paralysis according to him and his doctor, but his doctor believes them allegedly. Which is weird because we went from my kid being a sleepwalker that we had to put double locks on all doors or he'd walk out into the highway to now he has sleep paralysis, and it sounds terrifying where you're you're kind of awake, but you can't move and it's like being dead and knowing it.
SPEAKER_02Night terrors are bad too. My kid suffers from those, and it's like they're worse for us, right? Because they don't remember. I'll ask her every single time. Remember getting up last night and she's like, no. And they look at you, and that's what's the most terrifying thing. I feel she's awake, and I'm like, she just I want mommy, I want mommy, and mommy's right here, mommy's right here. And no idea.
SPEAKER_04Do you remember picking up the knife?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_04Wearing a white dress in the hallway with a knife. I don't recall that. My little ghost girl.
SPEAKER_02Man, yeah, it's scary stuff. Honestly, living with anyone is scary. You just never know what they're gonna do in the middle of the night.
SPEAKER_06And that the uh advice of teachers back in elementary school, our our son uh they gave me let's give him medicine. And we kind of held off on that and we're like, okay, let's let's give him medicine.
SPEAKER_02For what? For the night hair for ADHD. Oh, okay. Well, um where did that move on? Okay, we're moving on. We're we're talking medical now. New element.
SPEAKER_06So so we start giving him this medicine and instantly things get wacky. And he's young, you know. Kids are young to be experimenting with dosage, and that's my personal opinion. I'm not saying medicine can't be effective. It's up to you and your kid and your doctor and all that, but this is my personal experience. Um, he was on the medicine for about two months, and uh things were strange, and then one day my wife and I woke up, went downstairs, and it was real early in the morning. Renan Stimpy was on the television. My kid was watching it uh and next to him was what was his hamster, dead and painted yellow.
SPEAKER_08Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06And we're looking at the dead yellow painted hamster, we're looking at my kid, and we're looking at Ren and Stimpy. It's a lot to process all at the same time.
SPEAKER_02Well, for Ren and Stimpy alone is a lot to process.
SPEAKER_06So we deduced that at some point during a Ren and Stimpy episode while we were sleeping, somebody must have got out a bucket of paint and slapped the other one with paint, and this put in my kid's head, my hamster would love this. And it was just something I can never unsee. Much like the time Janice saw me shirtless. It's just you know and off the medicine he went at that time. Um that could have been me dead and painted yellow with red and stimpy playing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you were just in the right place at the right time.
SPEAKER_06You were one species away. I was behind a locked door, not a cage with a latch.
SPEAKER_02Wait, you lock your bedroom door at night when your children are sleeping. Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_06You should too with your little ghost girl walking. That's right. Uh it's just for general purposes. That and the taser and the gun. But it's just, you know. Some of us have teddy bears.
SPEAKER_09Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06Others have us lots of uh locks. It's just whatever helps you sleep better, really.
SPEAKER_09Oh man.
SPEAKER_06So we want to get into uh every single one of Janna's problems for the rest of this episode. I thought I don't think we have time. Take off the weekend. Uh whatever day you're listening. No, I want to specifically talk about how it's unfortunate that you're going through what you're going through, which is a divorce. And what's more unfortunate is how screwed over you seem to have gotten in this thing to the point where you share custody of your garden with your ex.
SPEAKER_02When you say it out loud, it sounds silly, but I I do want to get a dead painted hamster. I do want to preface that this is not just a little flower bed in the front lawn, you know. I have an orchard. I have an orchard in my backyard.
SPEAKER_01Of course you do.
SPEAKER_02That's it was honestly the reason why he wanted to buy the house when he saw that was that and then a huge area of the house.
SPEAKER_01I've seen him, it's not like he eats a lot of fruit. Relax.
SPEAKER_02He looks a little backed up. No comment. Um, but I also he he put in six raised beds, so he grows produce all year long. So when we were in the mediation negotiations, it was well, I'm not going to give you the full amount that you're entitled to for child support, but I'm gonna stay on the mortgage so that you don't need to refinance, which I have a very good rate. I appreciate that aspect, even though they really shouldn't be the same thing because hello, the support's for the kid.
SPEAKER_01We're gonna get more on that later because that's dangerous. Go ahead on your garden. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Um but you lose your kids like you lost your tomato plants.
SPEAKER_02It was also just mentioned that, like, oh, okay, well, you know, another reason why, you know, you don't need the full support is I will maintain the garden for five years. Cool. So it wasn't put in the agreement that in lieu of child support he will maintain the garden, but it was put in there that for the next five years he will pay my water bill and uh he will have with 24-hour notice access to the property strictly to maintain the landscaping and the garden. So I thought, okay, this is a lot of labor. This is five years that I don't need to worry about this, not kill anything. In addition, like it's gonna be taken care of. I will reap the benefits, right? Because that saves me money on um the grocery bill and things like that.
SPEAKER_01Four dollars in produce. Who is your lawyer, Mr. Bean? Well, again, we agree to that.
SPEAKER_02Again, mediation and ten out of ten do not recommend. Um like I went into the entire thing, this is a high conflict divorce, right? And you two know that this has this has really rocked my world. There has been a lot of things that have happened, and I was simply going in there in a very like difficult head space, saying, I just need this to be over, I just need to protect myself and my child. And so I thought settling was going to be the solution and that I was that I was going to be in a better place, and unfortunately that has not been the case. But all that to say, he is supposed to maintain the garden um for the next five years. However, he did have foot surgery at the beginning of this year, so so not been able to really do anything. Diabetes uh has come here a couple of times to spray the trees. He did plant, like I do get a ton of strawberries, like that's really the only thing so far that I've gotten. But he planted all the summer produce, but there's weeds everywhere. Uh you know, and and because it's my home, I'm looking at it and I'm like, this is it's gross, honestly.
SPEAKER_01You realize you're gonna be on a Netflix special soon called Garden of Evil, where you're slowly being poisoned with this because yeah, well, at least you're putting it out there so everyone knows when I die, you know, you know how I was. I'm not going to court over this.
SPEAKER_06I want to be like in the opening of the of the Netflix special where I'm like this. Yeah. All right, let me how do I look?
SPEAKER_02Okay, so here's the thing too. Obviously, if he's maintaining the garden, again, maintaining however you want to put it, um, he's taking half of the the produce, you know.
SPEAKER_06It's gonna take half of everything.
SPEAKER_02He's taking whatever, you know, is there when he comes. My pear. So I have pears, I have peaches. Well, hopefully I'll have pears, hopefully I'll have to be able to do it. Millions of peaches. There's so many. There's so many on the trees, and like my peach. They I don't think the trees have really been trimmed. It's it's just been a mess. Yeah, so shared custody of a kid is very difficult, and then this garden debacle is just beyond me.
SPEAKER_01You thought he was not going to be an attentive husband, but be an attentive gardener? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Well, because his garden was his baby and this was his idea. So I thought that he was going to I thought he was going to manage it. But now, of course, it's like, well, uh, I don't live here anymore, so I can't come here every day. Well, I don't want you to come every day, but this kind of garden does need specific maintenance. Like at the very least, you would think every week, every other week, like consistently, and it it has not been done. And it's also like, but it's not my job.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. My sole purpose here is not to rub your face in the hell that you're going through. It's just the the bizarress of how how petty it seems that the demand of I get partial custody of the garden is actually something that you had to cave to so that he'd pay your water bill is what I got out of this.
SPEAKER_02Well, and at least it's only for five years.
SPEAKER_06And we're not trying to laugh at your pain. Jagger. Somebody gave him a sound effects board and he just doesn't know what to do with it.
SPEAKER_02It really you know, it's funny, you say Netflix. I feel like this entire uh debacle should be a Netflix series, like for real. If this wasn't my life and somebody just told it to me, I would say that's not real.
SPEAKER_01Hold on. Let me call Taylor Sheridan real fast.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I've got a story for you, brother. Ted Serandos on the line from Netflix. Tell him it's me. We'll get on this. Hey, Teddy. Jagger you. What are we gonna call the documentary that Jenna's gonna be? Garden of Evil. Garden of Evil. Yes.
SPEAKER_02Well, and I would say that you'll probably, when I die, find my body buried under the mulch, but he hasn't replaced the mulch.
SPEAKER_06So it'll be the first indicator.
SPEAKER_02Right, right. Would you see that there's clean mulch and everything is like de-weeded? We know where to look like, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Couldn't you have worked it out so that you gave up custody of like the produce you hated, like the zucchinis or you know, honestly, it's I really just didn't want to do the work, but I wanted to make sure that it was upkept. You want the fruits without the labor. That's this generation's problem.
SPEAKER_02If I'm staying in this house though, like I need to make sure that that's going to not be a bigger problem down the line. So I was like, okay.
SPEAKER_06People don't think well, maybe they do, but when when us, you know, Hicks think about Long Island, we don't think about people with gardens and orchards. We think about trains and well, this is East Long Island. This is the Hamptons. Oh, East Long Island. Yes. I see. Rolling Hills, beautiful. I got like, hey, I want to go to see some great orchards. Long Island, yeah, that's a good place.
SPEAKER_02Well, actually, Long Island is known for yeah, for uh a lot of like out east the wineries, yeah, the uh the farms and stuff.
SPEAKER_06Islands made of sand? How do you grow produce and sand? Oh, it's not yeah, you're right.
SPEAKER_02We're just one big beach over here like him.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, the closer you get to the water, the sandier it gets. If you're on an island, like Long Beach Island is a sandbar.
SPEAKER_02You think the entire island is just a beach?
SPEAKER_06Well, just call yourself long then. Take out the word island. You don't get to use it anymore. Long peninsula.
SPEAKER_02All that to say, apparently, you can take custody of everything if it's in the agreement. And you can also, you know, pick and choose what's what's enforceable, apparently. That's just a crazy half of the garden.
SPEAKER_01Well, if you go into your mediation high, bad things happen.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Check out Yoda over there with the wisdom. Screwed you are.
SPEAKER_09That's for sure.
SPEAKER_01You know, I went through all this trouble, Jana, of producing one of your inspirational uh stories into a funny bit, and now I don't even want to play it because I don't want to rub it in. You can rub it in.
SPEAKER_02I I chose to ignore it yesterday, but rub it in.
SPEAKER_03And now, another inspirational social media post by Jana Banana.
SPEAKER_06Banana. Banana?
SPEAKER_02How do they say Jana banana banana? You couldn't even use Morgan Freeman's voice. Come on.
SPEAKER_03I've been walking through a hazard season of shadows. Or Dead Zelda. But as the sun reaches its highest point today, I feel a massive shift within myself. That one downhill quick. It is the burning away of old doubts, trauma responses, and the weight of people who only knew how to tolerate me. The warmth is finally softening the physical tension I've carried for so long. You go girl. So this is another thing. Oh, hashtags are in here. Okay. Oh man, oh wow.
SPEAKER_02Hashtag Oh, there's more. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Hashtag summer. Hashtag mom life.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Well, but there she is. Wow. Listen to Jojo on the go. I do like that and dick jokes.
SPEAKER_05Oh, we didn't even set it up to explain what that was. No, there was no warning.
SPEAKER_02Okay, that was very funny, but in all seriousness, no one prepares you for like in this again, high conflict divorce era of like how you can have your high highs, but also like very low lows within minutes of each other. Like it's not like, you know, in in 12 step, all they'll say like one day at a time. No, no, no. It's like every every hour, every minute, every minute. Every second at a time, really. It's really difficult.
SPEAKER_06It is since nobody set the bit up before, I'll set it up after. That was taken from a very well written, now that I hear it in a different voice, uh, a well-written post from Jana, who basically said the sun doesn't wait for its turn to shine. I'm not going to wait for my turn. And isn't it inspirational? So Jagger takes these and and adds dramatic voice guy with dramatic scenery and then just puts all the hashtags at the end of it. And and and it's like so that would have made more sense if you knew what the hell you were listening to. Um I greatly enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_06Beautiful, Jenna. Well done. You have the Johnstown guy back? Is he gonna rap about another town today? Or what do you mean? Who are you talking about?
SPEAKER_01We have about 17,000. Hold on. I wanted six zip codes is my favorite.
SPEAKER_02I think he said zip code.
SPEAKER_06Zix.
SPEAKER_02Not six, zigzag.
SPEAKER_06Kind of like AI says Jana's name.
SPEAKER_02Banana. I mean, I don't understand. Jan Jana is not a word in the dictionary. Banana is. How did they not be able to pronounce that?
SPEAKER_01They went minions on banana. I don't think we should make fun of people's dialect. She's foreign. Dialect. Obviously.
SPEAKER_06Dialect.
SPEAKER_01What do you mean?
SPEAKER_06If you say garage, I'm I'm having at it with you.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I mean, people always make fun of me for how I say draw because I say it without the ER.
SPEAKER_06Well, listen, I suddenly people discovered I say nightmare wrong. So, you know.
SPEAKER_01You're so close to Pittsburgh with all that Pittsburghese. So the war screen is a very good thing.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you know what? There's a lot of other ones. Room, people say rum. Uh pillow, people say pillow. Right up to rum. Oh my God. It's very difficult sometimes. I don't think that's a dialect issue. I think it's a pronunciation issue.
SPEAKER_06Crick.
SPEAKER_01No, it's it's geographic too, because my girlfriend pronounces some things interestingly, but she's from the Midwest. And so I think it's imaginary. Right. She doesn't exist, so that's part of it as well.
SPEAKER_06Sounds like gibberish because it's in my head.
SPEAKER_01That's right. Yes, honey.
SPEAKER_06I I hear you. I mean, people from all over are down in the panhandle with you. There's not really any dialect, is there?
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah, I can tell where people are from sometimes. I can sniff out a Pittsburgh accent a mile away.
SPEAKER_06Yinzer.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I mean, I guess, yeah. I guess that's not really a good talent, but I can do it. No, it's not a good talent. It's not a talent at all.
SPEAKER_06Is that wine, Jana? Good for you. It is not.
SPEAKER_02It's electrolytes. I was struggling today.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Well, I got my weird drink that I have to prepare that's got um turmeric, ginger, oh, we know. Cinnamon, lemon juice, pepper. I put too much pepper in it yesterday, set my mouth on fire. This shit better be working, doing something magical inside of me for the way it tastes.
SPEAKER_01Janna, are you dehydrated?
SPEAKER_06You get rung out last night or what?
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yes, I did. Understood.
SPEAKER_04Anyway, take a sponge. Yeah, you're not you're not supposed to be.
SPEAKER_02You're not supposed to cope by drinking, but I do.
SPEAKER_01Understood. No judgment here. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I guess I really should preface I am not in a 12-step for alcohol addiction. No.
SPEAKER_01It's heroin. Yeah, we get it. Obviously. Nothing big. Methana, banana. Not what you said on Digjell Show. Shut up, Jagger. That's methed up. Cut it out.
SPEAKER_02So now you have a lisp.
SPEAKER_06I almost died when you said that. Hey, Jagger, talk about our sponsors.
SPEAKER_01Our sponsors, uh, Pizza Knight in Altuna. I love Pizza Knight in Altoona. If you don't love Pizza Knight in Altoona, you're just jerk off. Yeah, you jag off. You gotta get down there and get you these bowlies. They have the best bowlies in town. You get the steak bowling, you can get the classic. Uh they have an Italian sandwich that I've heard is delicious. Uh but you don't have one. Not yet. I can't wait to get over there and try it. When I get up to town, the first place I'm going, I'm going down to Pizza Night to get me some bolus. Notice him by the way, he walks through the door sideways. Well, of course. How else am I going to get in? It's a narrow doorway in Pizza Night. Or bust through like the door.
SPEAKER_02Is that what you say about every doorway?
SPEAKER_05You blame them. Why are these doors so narrow?
SPEAKER_01I know.
SPEAKER_06It's a tough world to live in, but no wonder the Kool-Aid man just gave up and busted through the wall. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02How tall are you, Jagger?
SPEAKER_015'11 and 3 quarters.
SPEAKER_02Damn.
SPEAKER_01Look at him. Should have been a wrestler.
SPEAKER_02Three-quarters. I do the three-quarters thing too.
SPEAKER_01When you're a man under six feet, you have to. Yeah. Like I desperately want to be six feet, but I'm not unless I get my shoes on. Get you some kinjong that's a rough one.
SPEAKER_025'11 and 3 quarters, you're almost there. I'm 5'3 and 3 quarters, so it's like, what's 5'4, you know?
SPEAKER_01The story of my life is I'm almost there. Like I get quite up to the line and just can't quite cross it. Just like pizza night. I'm almost there. I'm not quite there yet. I can't wait to get that bully freeze-dried in the mail. Oh, wait, not freeze-dried, whatever it is. Dried ice dried.
SPEAKER_05Let's get it. Survival. Oh man.
SPEAKER_01Find it in the garden.
SPEAKER_02Pizza Knight is now doing that. I'll take three.
SPEAKER_01These dried bullies.
SPEAKER_02I'll keep them for 30 years. But go get you a fresh bully.
SPEAKER_01Get them. You call them at uh 814. 943-7000-814.
SPEAKER_061800 cash now. Cash now. 943-7,000. 943-7000. Lunch, dinner, snack, make it a pizza night for lunch. And try Luna Royal Cleaning. What can I say that hasn't been said? Amazing people. They do a great job. I actually told him that he doesn't charge enough for his for his services. Um yeah, well, no, he charges me plenty. But for everyone else, I was like, wait, really? That's for the whole house? That's what you charge?
SPEAKER_02Will he clean my garden and orchard?
SPEAKER_06Try Luna Royal Cleaning in Altoona. Google them. Give them a call. Tell Dominic Jojo sent you. So he'll keep coming to my house. Now he has yard signs. So he says he's coming to stick one in my yard. I said, stop. You're gonna get the neighbors excited. They're gonna think I'm stealing my house. So thank you very much to our sponsors. And uh shout out Roundhouse Harley Davidson. Big, big rally coming up Saturday the 27th. If you're listening after that, don't worry about it. But if it's not Saturday the 27th yet, Saturday is the 27th, right, Jagger?
SPEAKER_11Sounds right, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Saturday the 27th, I'll be there all day with thousands of people outside. There's food, there's music, it's just an incredible time to get together and have a summertime blast. So look forward to seeing you there. And uh thank you very much for having me throughout the summer.
SPEAKER_01Appreciate you, Roundhouse Harley Davidson. And speaking of music, we've had such a great response about our Josh Gallagher interview. People are loving it. They uh they said how engaging he was, how charming he was, and the fact that we got a first glimpse. Glimpse at a new single. I'm excited about that because when that thing blows up, we got bragging rights.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna lie, I've listened to that song on repeat. Like I really enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_01He appreciates the 18 cents. Right. And if you didn't get a chance to hear it, um, we got an Instagram post here. He's he's plugging it. Let's take a look at that real quick.
SPEAKER_08It's called junkie. Sounds like this. Just a touch. Pain in love. I need it all. All at once. I'd lose my mind. If I can't ride that, I'd die for it. Steal for it. Steal for it. Heaven knows I'd kill for it. Ruin it. Sound just like him.
SPEAKER_01I love this dog.
SPEAKER_07Black tar.
SPEAKER_08And I'm just a junkie.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, just a junky bitch. I mean, baby. I think I think, you know, he's doing great, but he he should be in in arenas now and selling out venues. And that's up to you guys uh to support music like that that none of us had a chance to really support when we were on terrestrial radio, because well, that's just its own animal, and the way songs get on there is a dirty, dirty business that we don't really want to talk about.
SPEAKER_01But I think Josh is on the on the verge of that. I think he is in the right place. He he talked about taking some years off uh to be with his kids. He's ready to get back at it. I think he's on the verge of breaking big. And I think that if you guys listen to that song, get it in your head, you can sing it in your car uh when it comes on the radio.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah. It's just a song I could see every like thousands of people in a in an arena enjoying. Speaking of musicians, we also interviewed the drummer from Hootie and the Blowfish, Jim Sonnefeld, and that episode's available too. Jagger probably has the number memorized.
SPEAKER_01That is I don't. Damn.
SPEAKER_06How'd you forget?
SPEAKER_01That was like your favorite episode of all time. I know. It's it's somewhere in the 50s. All right, it looks somewhere in the 50s. I think it's 50. Okay, I remember it's 52.
SPEAKER_02I was gonna say 52, I didn't want to bank on that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was one episode after my birthday. I was hoping to get him on for my birthday. We didn't get that one. So he's episode 52, uh, Jim Sonafeld.
SPEAKER_06Now, it's the staff said that there's an issue that you won't stop messaging him to ask him if he's up. Is that true? Are you Define won't stop. Three times a day that you you're messaging him.
SPEAKER_02Wait, like you just say you up? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Uh WYD. No. Um, I try to leave him alone. I'm I'm I'm not trying to take advantage of the fact that I have his personal cell phone number now and um and all that jazz. Um it's fun to have it in my phone, but I don't use it.
SPEAKER_06I hope you butt dial it by accident when you're stuffing a bully in your face.
SPEAKER_01Hey, remember that happened to me with Bo Bice. Remember from American Idol when we were on the show in North Carolina? Um, we booked Bo Bice on the show, so I had his personal cell phone number. And if you don't know who Bo Bice is, kids, go look him up. He was an American Idol contestant. Uh, pretty good, and we had him on the show, and I booked him from my personal cell phone, so I had a cell phone number. He butt dialed me when I was uh I was standing in line at the bank, and I see Bo Bice like come up on my phone as is calling me, and I answered, and he's like, Hey buddy, what's going on? And I'm like, Hey, are everything okay? He's like, Who is this? It's Jagger from the radio show. Oh man, I called the wrong number, man.
SPEAKER_02Do you recognize people's voices when they call you?
SPEAKER_01Sometimes.
SPEAKER_02Like, can you tell? I mean, obviously, when you're on a cell phone now, you see who it is, but I just called my daughter this morning, actually, because it's her last day of school. And um, I wanted 4th of July. Well, uh New York, but Pennsylvania kids get out of like Halloween for the rest of the year. Yeah, I know. Um, but we don't start until like Labor Day, so whatever. But uh so I wanted to call her to wish her a happy last day of school, so I called before care and uh and I was like, Fee. And she goes, hi. I'm like, Do you know who this is? No. And I'm like, it's mom, and she's like, oh, I'm like, this is so awkward. Okay, love you.
SPEAKER_06That's why you'll spend the rest of your life saying, uh, this is your mother. It's your mother, it's your mother, Jenna Banana. Banana. Didn't we interview Clay Aiken too? No, I think we got Ruben Stuttered.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I love Ruben Stuttered.
SPEAKER_06We couldn't get Clay Stuttered.
SPEAKER_02You know, Ruben won. Clay was number two.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. And then he ran Clay ran for like politics.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he was like a senator, I think, in North Carolina.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, in Charlotte. Oh my god. Not a senator, I think like a mayor or something. I don't know. Yeah, we had to like they rub this American Idol was just shoved down our throats in every way, shape, and form. We had to have like, you know, um watch parties. Oh you had the contestants on.
SPEAKER_01Remember we started the Jagoff where I would sing against the American Idol contestants and the the uh audience could vote who was better?
SPEAKER_02And did you ever did you ever receive a vote?
SPEAKER_01Yes. I'd beat um what's the guy's name, Chris uh Chris's name? Taylor Hansen Daughtry, Chris Daughtry. Chris Hansen, Dateline. I beat Chris Dawtree with uh Bon Jovi, but I think our listeners were in on the joke and we're just voting for me out of being funny.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's awesome.
SPEAKER_01I'd beat him now. I look just like him, don't I?
SPEAKER_02You do. You definitely do. Except he's six a foot.
SPEAKER_01Are you wearing eyeliner? No, that's my natural beauty.
SPEAKER_06I have long lashes, you know that. He walks around the neighborhood like a cat at night and forgetting to take off all the neighbor all the makeup. Yes, this is my cat burglar makeup. Anybody doing anything adventurous in the next seven days?
SPEAKER_01Not adventurous. I'm gonna try to take in a oh, I shouldn't say this. You're gonna give me so much shit over it. I'm gonna go see a comedy show. Some stand-up comedy.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god.
SPEAKER_01I'm not gonna participate, but I'm gonna watch it.
SPEAKER_02We know you're not gonna participate.
SPEAKER_01I need a good open mic. If you're listening in the Panhandle of Florida and you know there's an open mic night somewhere, I need a good open mic where there are comedians where there is an audience for this bit to pay off. Otherwise, I feel like you should practice where there's no audience. Really?
SPEAKER_02So you going for the inspiration or you're going to enjoy?
SPEAKER_01Going to enjoy. They got um there's an event center right here uh close to my house on the road. And um they got three comedians and a dinner buffet. It's gonna be fun. I'm gonna go shove my face and listen to some good tweet. Shove your face?
SPEAKER_06No, you're gonna go shove your face.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what do you call it?
SPEAKER_06Stuff your face. Oh, stuff your face. I was just looking. Jagger was talking about our listeners in Florida, and I can actually get a breakdown of uh where everybody's listening. So I wanna pull that up here.
SPEAKER_01It's uh we are we're we are literally worldwide now. There are people listening in other countries. I've seen um I think uh if you break down by continent, we have several in uh Europe. I say several, a few in Europe, a few in Asia, Africa, we have Africa.
SPEAKER_06Nine countries and territories in 81 cities, new locations that have begun listening. Wilmington, Delaware. Nice, Hyderabad Telegana. Oh, where's that? Beautiful this time of year. Toronto, Central City, Pennsylvania, top most listened to app to hear the show, iHeart.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_06Number two, people hiding behind a firewall. Interesting. Wonder who they are. I was getting when it says unknown device or something like that, but it does give you pretty big breakdowns, and we are almost to 1,000 downloads, and we have about three days to hit that. Thank you so much for getting us almost there. If each and every one of you would download all 55 plus episodes right now, you will keep the power on in Jagger's Dungeon. So please. I would appreciate it. Whatever it is, I if it's iHeart, Facebook, um, I almost said Sputterfy, Spotify.
SPEAKER_01I can like shove my face without your support.
SPEAKER_06Just download all the episodes, make sure you have them for later, get us to that thousand mark, and then watch what happens. Jagger will maybe show up at the comedy club he's supposed to with his AI generated uh stand-up. It's gonna be so good when it finally happens. You're gonna love it so much.
SPEAKER_09Look at that.
SPEAKER_06I just feel like it's been so oversold. There's no way it's gonna be anywhere near good.
SPEAKER_02Either that or it's just everyone's forgotten about it except for us.
SPEAKER_06Has anyone ever been to a concert or stand-up show that sucked? Oh, yes. Of course. You thought it would be good, not like you were dragged there as a favor.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Okay. Well, anyone want to share? Do you want to share who who it was?
SPEAKER_01Well, uh, so I went to a comedy show. It wasn't like headline comedy, it was just like people who are traveling the circus. No, no, it wasn't me, but it was at a um this was in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and um several of the comedians were great. And the main event, the the lead comedian, the headliner, whatever you want to call him, I recognized two jokes in that okay, I've heard that one before.
SPEAKER_06This is my this is my AI script.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not my AI script, but it was from another comedian.
SPEAKER_02And so then the third joke of plagiarism.
SPEAKER_01I heard that one before. And I'm I'm nudging my girlfriend. You stole the whole routine. I'm like, he's he's stealing jokes, he's hacking. She's like, shh. I'm like, no, I can't, this cannot stand. She's like, be quiet. Yeah. I'm like, and did you like Jack? She's like, you want to leave? I was like, no, I gotta see how this ends. And his entire set was jokes I've heard before. I was like, how in the hell? And that is like such blasphemy in the comedy world to steal jokes. Was it from one comedian or did he steal it from like multiple? Multiple. So yeah, he didn't steal like a whole set, but like just individual individual individual jokes that I have heard before. Well, confront him afterwards and say, I wasn't allowed. My girlfriend said, Stop it, we're leaving right now. She did not want to be embarrassed. Uh, but I did, I did play the part of a uh of a Karen a little bit, and I found another comedian that was on the show on social media, and I ratted him out to that comedian. I said, Hey, I said, Did you notice that this guy's jokes were uh You have a lot of time on your hands?
SPEAKER_06Shut up. I tracked down a comedian that was also there, and you know what he had to say about it? Nothing. That's my fucking brother. Left left me on read.
SPEAKER_09Oh man.
SPEAKER_06Janet, you're about to say, I think you're probably about to tell on the concert where you were you were uh ready to go at it and it sucked.
SPEAKER_02I'm not gonna lie, like I feel like unless it's a true artist, and I've had some real standout artists um where I've noticed that they change the way they do the song live. Like Ed Sheeran, for example, he'll have that key piano thing where all of a sudden he presses a button and all of a sudden he reformulates the song. There's a local artist um who's also a massive producer, John Bellion. He does the same thing where he just freestyles his own music, makes it different for each performance. So those are the ones I truly enjoy. Even though I know that someone's good, I've bought tickets to so many concerts over the years, and then I leave there. I'm just disappointed. You know, even going back to high school, I'm thinking like Rihanna, Chris Brown. It's like I would wait until the concert was over.
SPEAKER_01I choose those two to put together.
SPEAKER_02That's so weird. I didn't even mean to do that. But it totally made sense why he beat the shit out of it.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02No, never justified.
SPEAKER_01Jenna, it seems to me that maybe you're just hard to please.
SPEAKER_02Oh, is that the case? Okay. You don't say every kind of No, but honestly, I just feel like you're nowadays you're spending a lot of money, and half the time you're so far away from them, you can't see them up close anyway. And if it sounds similar to when you're at home, like or if they're playing their track and then it's a late mix it up a little.
SPEAKER_09Right.
SPEAKER_06You know, I went to my first uh nerdfest a couple months ago that we know uh the the Comic-Con thing with the celebrities, and and I I really enjoyed myself. I thought it was cool. I met some people that I liked, you know, I liked their work, but the the the headliner there, if you will, was William Shatner. Oh. And he's like a hundred. And you know, it's great. Almost literally, yeah. Yeah, he's Captain Kirk, and you know, now he's the Shat man, and we're doing all this stuff. Yeah. The Shatman? I haven't heard that. No, it's Will Shat now. That's literally how he's Will Shat. It's because he's Shat dispants. That fucking line was just from one end of the building to the other one. And I'm walking around this thing, roaming like a cow, seeing who I can see, and and I hear, I guess, one of his handlers warning people as they get closer. You're he's do not talk to him. Don't ask him anything, don't don't say anything, get your fucking signature, get your pic picture, get the f out. And I'm thinking, like, they paid 200 something dollars, and and I there's film of like one guy's trying to, hey, I loved you in Star Trek, and Shatner's just like Please tell me his handler was George Ticket. He goes, What was what was your favorite part about being in Star Trek, Mr. Shatner? And he goes, Lunch.
SPEAKER_01Oh my. Please move along, Mr. Shatner. We'll see you now. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06And not even uh at this con, but I saw another video of a guy who was uh he found the star of the horror movie Leprechaun. Not me, shut up. And the guy was so fucking miserable. It was like, I really love you in Leprechaun. The guy's like, Yeah. There you go. I'm just thinking to myself, like, these guys are making bank just for showing up at these things from idiots like me. They could at least be a little bit pleasant. Now I had great experiences. The people I met were nice. I didn't spend that money to see William Shatner, but everyone else was really chill. As far as concerts go. Um I don't go to a lot of them. And if I do, I'm already usually super into the people, so I don't have any complaints about about concerts, I don't think. Except for Dave Matthews way back in the nineties.
SPEAKER_02Really? That doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_06Well, it's not so much him, okay. It was that it was indoors in Philadelphia. Got it. And there was so much weed uh smoke that you really couldn't even see in front of your own face. Yeah. And then you were so high from the secondhand smoke you couldn't figure out like if you had to go to the bathroom, you felt like you're gonna fall down nine rolls of of st uh stairs to try to get there. So what's the concerts? The people that go to them that ruin it, I think.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes did they do like seven, eight-minute long jam songs while you were there? So, yeah, that's a big difference between uh an artist on the radio and in concert. Like Dave Matthews' band is a big jam band.
SPEAKER_02So you get the same thing, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Oh god, what's fish? But fish, you know that going in. Dave Matthews, if you hear uh ants marching on the radio and you go to the show, next time then you know you're sitting through a 12-minute guitar solo. It's interesting.
SPEAKER_02But see, I would actually appreciate that. That's the reverse for me. Whereas like I don't want to hear what I'm hearing on the radio, otherwise, I'll hear it at home. You know, same thing. Even a comic show. Like uh my ex-husband and I, we were big fans of Kevin James. I love him. I think the the shows he's done also, yeah, uncanny resembling. Um and then we went to two of his shows, one on Long Island and then the other in the city that they were filming for Netflix, and both of them I was like disappointed with. I heard he wasn't nice in person, too.
SPEAKER_06Some people say he's like he's not nice if you meet him at the airport or at the store or whatever.
SPEAKER_02And he's a Long Island native. Like I love him, and I really love his shows, like on TV. But uh, like Kevin can wait was so great, and uh obviously his uh what was the original one? King of Queens.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'm such a nerd. I actually went to that house and took a picture in front of it. I have somewhere in my camera roll. I stood right in front of that house that he wasn't even ever in. I would do that too. Yeah. I'm the type of person that finds out a celebrity house. And as a matter of fact, I found out Pat Moynihan from Train just came out with a song called Pennsylvania. Uh it's Jagger is calling you to us, by the way. Um listen to the lyrics, you'll be here in five hours. Um, but he grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, where my son is living now and working. And some some stalker was kind enough to post the picture of his childhood home and address on Facebook. And guess where I'm going on July 4th? Now, here's how it's gonna go for me. If this is any indication, Pat Moynihan, the lead singer of Train who grew up in the house, knocked on the door, guy opens, he's like, Hey, I'm from Train, and blah, blah, blah. He's like, get off my property. Pulls the shotgun. Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_02He's like, Yeah, so how do you think that's gonna go for you?
SPEAKER_06Not well. So I'll probably take the picture from across the street, and you'll still see, like behind me, the guy pissed off looking through the window.
SPEAKER_02See, that's one thing that's just not for me. It's just taking going places just to take pictures. Some people are a grower, not a shower. I'm a doer, not a seer. I don't want to just go and see things, I want to go do things.
SPEAKER_06Another weird obsession, Michael Landon from Little House in the Prairie.
SPEAKER_02Um actually very strange obsession.
SPEAKER_06My former co-host, well, I was like totally into it. Every day I get home from work, watch Little House. It was on like four hours a day at the time. So my co-host happened to live like an hour from his childhood home, and I randomly said, Don't you dare come back here without taking a picture in front of his home. So I get a call and she's like, I'm scared. I was like, Why? She goes, I'm I'm at his childhood home, but right next to it is a park that's infested with meth heads. Oh. I was like, I don't care. Take the picture. Yeah, get in there. Let's go. And there's like this bench that's like in honor of Michael Landon. Like the guy's like a legend, and all he gets is a bench and a meth head bark. Yeah, Victor French sleeping on it.
SPEAKER_02You know, it is that is kind of cute because for you it seems like it's collector items at this point.
SPEAKER_01Right. So I'm the same way. Like I did the same thing for um the restaurant, the outside scene of the restaurant in Seinfeld. So when I was in New York City, I had to go to Tom's restaurant and I took a picture under that marquee. And of course, the inside is nothing like the inside of this show.
SPEAKER_06Janna's like, I just ate there yesterday, loser.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I know. Oh, and um Suzanne Vega Suzanne Vega wrote that song while sitting in Tom Steiner. Now you've gone too far.
SPEAKER_06Hey Jagger, remember that one time we hung out downtown New York City?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was awesome.
SPEAKER_06Was it? Yeah, I thought so. You didn't like it? I don't remember. I was on some pills or something. Oh, I yeah, that's true. I knew that. No, I was like my son experimenting with medication. No. Um, remember we took the the the 30 Rock tour?
SPEAKER_01No, I don't know. Here we go with the Hillbilly story again. Did we do that together?
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Okay. We we saw we were sitting in that one room. I have a picture of your whole family with my whole family.
SPEAKER_01Yes, in the NBC store. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and what did they show us? Didn't we sit in Jimmy Fallon's studio? We um Jimmy Fallon's Doctor Oz.
SPEAKER_01And um, and then also, too, you get to see the Saturday Night Live set, like from the window. So that's where you don't get to go in unless you like pay the extra VIP fee. And I, you know, of course, couldn't afford it that time.
SPEAKER_06Being in the area that you are, Jenna, do you see celebrities all the time?
SPEAKER_01No.
SPEAKER_06Like, doesn't Billy Joel play on his balcony every day? Uh so Billy Joel is not out there. He's not here anymore.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he's not where her he lives in Long Island still, just not where you are.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, he's out by Glen Cove. Yeah. So go for a walk. You can just see him. Apparently, he just sings outside of his balcony every day. It's like a free. Jenna lives next door to Howard Stern out in the East Hampton.
SPEAKER_01Right. Right, right.
SPEAKER_02That would be the dream for me. I love that guy so much.
SPEAKER_06Well, I uh I hope you and half of your garden have a very good day, Jenna.
SPEAKER_09Well hanging in there.
SPEAKER_06And uh for what it's worth, uh us two clowns, we got your back. Who you're not plowing your field for you.
SPEAKER_02I just I just need some landscaping done. Like it's really not a big ass.
SPEAKER_06Listen, your personal hygiene is your own problem.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_06Until next time.
